Top TV next week for all us armchair anglers. Monday nights see's the welcome return of Robson Green with Xtreme Fishing. Tuesday night and in my opinion the better of the two programmes is River Monsters with Jeremy Wade, can't wait to see that Tiger Fish.

Agree with your second choice Big Sid- but disagree with your opinion of the Robson Green programme. Given the topic, location and photography- the show should make excellent family viewing. However, because of Green's continuous use of expletives and his bad practice eg. in spearing fish and leaving them to flap around in agony, the programme is rendered unsuitable for family viewing, fails to foster interest in this great past-time and provides ammunition for the anti- brigade. What a shame!

Don't see much difference myself in between spearing a fish and leaving it in agony to die and leaving it on a pier in a plastic bag to do the same.
Mr Greens angling skills or questionable but he is entertaining at the very least.
Maybe when giving the oppurtunity as Mr Green to visit and fish in so many countries you have to adopt certain local methods practised by the locals. Is it not being aired at 21:00 hrs the watershed so isn't seen as family viewing.
