Hello,
Davey that's a cracking fish mate, well done, you're following on from where you left off last season. I'd love to get a fish like that but I want to get a bit more proficient at casting and such before I have a go.
Can I ask, would you recommend trying to join a club like Chester-le-street, (that's where I live), or to just concentrate on the free stretches?

Regards Ian.

Chester have some nice water Ian,below the dam can be full of fish when the river is low.
You will have to join a que to fish it though.:D

Thanks Davey, Is it that popular? I know I have to go on a waiting list to join the club.
Think I'll try the free stretches first but I assume that they get just as busy?

Good luck for number 3 by the way :)

Regards Ian

The free stretches can be very depressing. Lads use lead lines to rip them out. Not my idea of angling. It also gets quite crowded. Much better off joing Chester-Le-St club. You are also not restricted waiting for heavy rain as this moves the fish over the dam at Ch-Le-St park and they then move on to Durham.

Cheers Mick :) Think I'll try and join Chester le street.....only a couple of miles away for me too.

Regards Ian.
