Old Beach at Seaham

I have been thinking about fishing "the old beach" at Seaham for a while but never got around to it for one reason or another....well today I did and I was rewarded with three codling weighing between 2-4lbs bait used was slappy blacks & frozen crab. I am looking forward to fishing this beach over low water on the bigger tides ............it may just give up a decent fish or two.

Remember an Open Was won on the old beach bout ten years ago with a 9 or 10 lbr

The old beach is the one just to the north side of the north pier at Seaham. well done on the fish.

I found if you fish Bessys which 100 yards up the beach and on the rocks it fishes way better than the beach you done well pulling fish off there it's really hit and missy that's why it's rarely fished or lads just fish into the back of the waves off the spiles and there's only the odd good fish comes off there
