Just thinking about pubs in the toon that have either closed or have been renamed. What are your memories? For me it's the Farmers Rest.

Always remember going to (THE MONKEY CLUB) somewhere in Town, with me old man before the Match...
Thin it was somewhere near Pilgrim Cop Shop...
Also the (Delphi) think it might still be there???

Also the Haymarket Hotel, just along from the Hotspur, I think.
How longs the Percy been shut for? That was a cracking boozer like.

the portland, the chieftan and the rock were the elswick and cruddas pk closures
 
City Tavern was a great boozer especially when there was a gig on at the city hall. Went there during the interval at a sabbath concert once and Tony Iommi and co. came in for a pint and crack before the second half of the concert. I know it's still there under a different name, probably flogging cappuccino and soda water like.
