one of the best boat reels in its day still going strong today and the old penn reels cracking kit with my old markco solid glass 6ft rod.
used to go out on the Sonia, jimmy hanagans boat from south shields that would be around 1968 had some great trips out £8 with bait supplied for the day.
then jimmy moved down to sunderland got a new coble called the golden chance , how time flies buy

The guy with the cod Wundt use anything els but an old scarbrough reel.was 12£ for the days wrecking
yes had one myself you could wind owt in with them in fact that's all jimmy the skipper on the Sonia & golden chance used bring some good fish up to the surface fast with no effort. there used to be an old guy on ssp and that's all he used and he could belt it out

Bert just bought a 624, sick of changing bearings in the new fangled reels.

So naturally I had too buy one as well. :D

I agree Keith, both my TLD15's have had new bearings in them this year, i am sacking them off and purchasing new reals when i get the cash.
