used to spend alot of time at the riverside too Sean, used to sing badly in a local punker band and supported a canny few bands there...cheers

A mate on my other forum gigs with a band and it\'s amazing how many of these old bands are still going. He\'s always telling me that he\'s supporting bands that I thought had long packed in.

The other week, he sent me a photo of Buster Bloodvessel. I had no idea Bad Manners were still about!!!

Anyone see that Rock School yesterday? Never seen it before, but the guy driving Gene Simmons (from KISS) about was from Splodgenessabounds.

Ironically, although he was the chauffeur and Gene is worth over $100m, it was Splodgenessabounds who had had a UK number one LOL

i love these old punk stories lol, talking of daft bands howabout the toy dolls. saw them when i was 16 ish at the norsman in amble, fantastic!!!, but my best punk gig was lying to my folks telling them i was stopping at my mates house and getting a bus down to brixton accademy in 1982 when i was just 16 years old, a bus full of punks and cider from the toon to london and staight back after the gig, iv\'e never seen so many p**s stopsin all me life lol. i have mellowed out a bit now but still love the old punk stuff as well as me rock music. :D :D :D

cheers

Blimey. I wonder how many original members are in that lot?

The Damned will be okay, if they don\'t do all that Goth trash they did later on. I absolutely love Neat, Neat, Neat and New Rose, but just want to Smash It Up if I hear that Eloise junk.

Penetration are a band that I like some songs from. Don\'t Dictate would have to rate as a punk \'anthem\'.

One band I would love to see is X-ray Spex. I have no idea what Poly Styrene is up to these days.....I\'ll make it my mission to find out now LOL

999 are playing Ashington Football club on the 14th of April,£5 for a ticket from Mario\'s Cafe Station Road Ashington, just ask for Alfredo,he\'ll sort you out....Elton, Penetration are cool. Pauline and Rob out of the original line-up live together and run rehearsal rooms in Newcastle and are still great live...polystyrene? do\'nt know, hopefully you will find out and share with us.

if i walk back into his cafe he will have me back up stairs repairing the building work my x partner did a few years ago lol. he will also charge me double for the tickets lol

cheers
