Fished with Richy and Eddie on Saturday, beautiful morning but chilly in that westerly wind

We went and fished the wrecks despite the wind passing Slinky and Maver g on the way.
Despite the wind the drift wasn't bad at 0.7 knots, allowing us a couple of drop downs on one drift. Three of us catching around 10 fish a piece from the first wreck.
Drift speed increased and fishing got slower.
Biggest fish went to Eddie with a cod of 9lb.
I got one on the shad around 7-8lb (wasn't weighed)

Moved from wreck to wreck picking away through out the day, ending up with around 55 keepers, keeping 27 cod and half a bucket of mackeral.

Aye a canny days fishing Chris, despite that wind and all those white tops and floor dancing.:) It was nice to see that pod of dolphins, and of course that single seal. Richy certainly knows his stuff, and that's the last two outings with a good haul. Well that's you guys already for Norway and raring to go no doubt . See you when your back and my gear is already sorted and ready for the next Roll Out. Have a gud un lads and keep safe. :)

I wish had a fryer for Cod & Chips :(

Great catch fellas! Just spread the karma and given away my own haul from this week (freezer still full from last week in truth) :)

Nice report chris, its been a cracking last 3 trips out with over 200 cod between 3lb n 9lb landed and whats better is 170 returned...good run of fresh spring cod at the moment, long may it continue.
