On Target for flatties

Hi lads, had an unexpected day off today so grabbed what I could out of my freezer for bait and hit the coast at South Shields.

A good day was had with flounder, coaly and whiting.

A few pics for you....

Big boulders are what's left of much of Target rock now.

I normally fish this stretch during darkness as it's pretty shallow so was pleasantly surprised to catch four flatties, a whiting and a coaly during daylight.

An enjoyable few hours with a a fish or two!
 
Nice day out mate. Where can you park if i was to fish this spot ? I know these few marks along coast shields to Whitburn but would have clue where to leave motor.

always fancied fishing this area, was going to try the otherside of the bay.

Hi Chris I leave the car at the carpark at the south end of the big beach at Shields, waters edge pub??? the lees fishing marks start only a short walk along from here.
 
this is were i would park aswell, there is a car park were u can pay, it has cctv. or if you not bothered about security you can park on the grassy area at the pub

Same here....fished the beach Thursday afternoon ... then Friday at graham sands...looks good for spinning that area :)

Ah right, Always wanted to fish this area dont live to far away might have walk along on friday and check out a couple of spots.
 
Dave you will have to drop the lads a line on here about St Abbs mate, I wanna try for a decent pollock up there over the summer on the spinner and will bring 'Wheres the fish' along...... thats if he turns up!! (HAHAHA, I KNOW I KNOW Dean!!! Joke!!) :D
