One rod n reel???

sonic sk4 16ft 4-6oz, and 525 mag. Clean, mixed suprisingly has the backbone to handle the rough stuff... and big distance casting.... a easy, short lobs, a pleasure!

As said many times, that the fish don't know what gear you've got. As long as you feel comfortable fishing with what you've got, who's to say this or that's the best set up. To be honest, i'm one of those who think you only get what you pay for so i bought a sonik sk4, greys apollo extreme 140, a slosh 30 and daiwa 7ht mag. I'm very happy using them, but i would be a lot happier if i could bag a cod. After being a very keen newby over the last 9/10 month, i'm getting a little bit bored of only catching yt's and the odd flatty.

original imax 6 stroke 7 [very light, shows small bites but pokey enough to pull owt in, and cheap if you can find one. Reel would have to be mk1 525 mag.

Watcha lads! I'm ganna start shore fishing again (after approx 15 years). I've just bowt this gear worram ganna use for all me hyukking.

Ugly Stick Classic Boat 30LB Class (8 foot (thats all) lang )+ Slosh30.

I've never tried it yet but I reckon I should be able to hoy 80 odd yards wirra fower oz sinka' a single 6/0 hyuk and a git ball o' mussel. Ye might see me knocking aboot (if yer unlucky :)) on pier/beach/rockend from Seaham to South Shields in the very near future (I'm shelling the mussel tomorrow)
