One word may have done the trick

Just been having a mooch around to see what's happening (Oh, I still have a look in now and again, lol) and came accross a topic with the title "Mussell". Dunno if it's the dark nights approaching, but just that word and the memories of been out on those all nighters tying a lug, mussell & squid cocktail onto a 4/0 with freezing fingers - mist, wind, rain, snow, coffee cigs, pasties, sarnies, pies.....anticipation.........Never know, I might just get back out again this winter.....lol :o:rolleyes:

BTW.....Where's Jim (willywetegg)????????????

Thanks Shaun.......followed your suggestion and found what you were talkin about ;) . Will have to dig out me old phone book, methinks.

Go for it Tony

even though the catching rate is going to take a nose dive compared to the boat fishing...I'm still looking forward to that almost perverse pleasure of standing on a beach/rock edge in the depths of winter watching for that rattle of the rod tip :D

Good to hear from you again Tony!

Thanks for that chaps. And thanks to Shaun for the heads up last night on Jim. I've looked through a load of my old NESA stuff - paperwork, phone books etc...trying to find Jims' tel number, but can't find it. If anybody can pass it on to me - please send a PM (Steve - of the 6' variety, mebbies??).

Would dearly like to get in touch with Jim again - got his e-mail address, but not sure if he's able to sit at PC to be able to check his e-mails.

Hallow Harry - You still get in here, then??
I'm not doin' too bad - had a few probs over recent years but then again - who hasn't? lol. How you doin' yourself? - still fishing over on the "other side" and travelling round the country? - hope so, m8. As far as the "grand-dadding" goes - I think I've got it sorted (although I'm stil learning, lol.) Can you believe it but Amie's 3 and a half now :o starts nursery next month!

Most recent picture -2 weeks ago - just about to make some "Sponge Bob Square Pants cakes with nanna (errmm - Amie's the 1 on the right - "Nanna" is on the left) ;)

Not to be "out-done" by Nanna - here's Granda getting some "Cornetto Kisses" last Summer

Great pics Tony, she's growing to be a lovely looking little girl. Glad to hear you are feeling better. I have come around now, but it took a while.
I'm still doing a bit of fishing but not as much as I would like as the wife is waiting for a hip replacement and she can't walk very far. We've just bought a motorhome so will be having trips to Scotland quite regularly now I think. Keep smiling mate.

Well heres one for you T.C! Im looking through this thread and look at the pics and think, hold on i recognise the background in them pics! I live 30 yards from you! Lad that drives the blue primera that parks in the back lane! Daughter has just left school and recognised 'nanna' in the pics aswell....im bloody amazed! Small world!

"Keep smiling mate. " You too, Harry. Life deals up some rotten hands at times and they can take a while to come to terms with, eh? Hope things go well with Mrs Big h's op and that your out in that camper van very soon.

Lol Jamie......I've often seen you coming back from a session - unloading your gear. As it's usually during the Winter season and late on a Monday night, I often wondered if you were in the Cleadon Club, and (possibly) a NESA member. Dead right - small world, lol. Aye, my wife once mentioned that your daughter went to the school where she works. She always smiles and says hello when she passes. Just left school, eh?....you'll know what I mean about time flying by with kids then, lol.

P.M. sent mate .

I hope all is well in your world ,your grand daughter sure is a cutie , although I don't want mine just yet ,my oldest son is twenty now and has a great girlfriend but I've told him to hold on a good few years as I'm still a spring chicken myself :D:D:D.

I gave up the shore fishing after my little accident but I'm thinking of maybe having a dabble on the beach this winter , I'm just back from Oz and had a go there and I miss it to be honest.

Anyway keep in touch mate ,take care.
