Well after a last minute thing on saturday morning and having nothing ready we got the boat out for the first time this year. We got in the water for just after 2pm and had a play about in the bay for a hour to make sure everything was ok due to the boat standing for over 6 months. We then headed out the peirs and met bob lydon on his way back in saying he had cought all the fish all 41 of them after a few photo's and a bit of a chat bob headed in and we headed just to the north of the tyne. After a hour or two of drifting and not a bite we headed for south sheilds peir area for a few macky but we couldnt find them. So we ended up fishing for plaice and landed 4 two each biggest fish was 3lb 2oz the other three were just short of 2lb. We tryed for the macky on the way back in but still couldnt find them so just headed back to the ramp.
