We are booked with Jim on Saturday and Peter on Monday. I don't know why I bother checking weather. All sites I looked at on Wednesday said winds around 21-23 miles an hour. Now thay all say 5-7mph !!
Just see on the day but I'm feeling confident it will be fine.

I find lug a lot better bait than rag for boat fishing had some really nice cod on lug baits just a few years ago so yer chris mite be worth trying some, Now i don"t know where these gusts of up to 34 mph and 24mph are come"n from am logged onto met office get an update evey 3hrs am on here now thur nite 11 oclock it"s given a very good forcast for saturday sunday and monday light SW winds 5 and 6 mph and the sea is flat"n off nicelly now i still think met office is the best local forcast you get hourly updates over 5 days up and down the coast so its a go for us lads,

monday 6am 10mph gusting 21mph
noon 11mph gusting 17 mph
6pm 7mph gusting 18 mph
big tides as well should stand better chance of fish lunch time when the tide turns flood about 1.30 depending how far your off shore
Not trying to be funny but if your running a charter boat check the forecasts
cris get your self to stowell street you get a five pound box of squid for about £5.50 use 6/0 daylights or a simple rig weight on bottom 1st hook 12" up line on a loop second hook 24" up on a loop a whole squid on each hook fresh bait every drop, forget about worms these fish have never seen a worm in there lives, also seems as cooked prawns work on daylights buy them at morrisons
GOOD LUCK,,,look forward to a good report

Good advice on the fishing but on the weather it depends which site you look at. As you say mate, not trying to be funny, but I think your comment on how to run charter boat was a bit rude.

The 1st thing you must do when running a charter boat is make sure you take a overall view of the weather tide size ect ect
not being rude at all stating a fact looked at three sites for weather was really hoping it was going to be a cracking nice bank holiday weekend to kick the boat season off in style
always thought this site was about helping giving advice ect , enjoy your fishing
