Out the wind and into fish!

Went down to SSP today for a bit of macky spinning. Arrived around 2.00pm to find the wind was so strong it was hard to cast my light lure into harbour. People walking off were telling that there was not much about at the end so I retreated to seaward side near the old toilet. There I was sheltered, and after only a few casts I was hitting the mackerel. Even as a kid I remember this was always a good hit, but for some reason people don't seem to bother going there. Anyway I did, and I scored.

There was loads of gulls diving for sprat off beach today at Embleton.

I fished the 44 mark and ended up with 13 Mackerel all good sized.
