Sorry, just noticed your post mate. Slappy blacks are fresh gutted black lug. Give them a bit of a slap and they tighten up to go on the hook.

fished ssp on wenesday 19th my m8 birthday , got there about 9.45am the gate was closed so we went along to the 43 mark, rain and windy water gowing over tyne mouth pier, as a 68 ya old takes me some time to get around that gate . old fart.
bait for the day rag lug two pies and two cans pop cakes + some sweeties :red:. was his birthday
had 3 flatties and two nice codling we returned all fish.
great day out in the fresh air, back home then up for a curry and a pint then hit the pit out for a light that sea air GREAT.

I was there later on yesterday, lovely summmer's evening, two seasons in one day.
