Outboard engine recommendation

Buying a small inflatable dinghy/rib about 2.4m long already has a 4hp engine but bloke is keeping it could I stretch to a 6hp and what would be recommended thanks lads it's just for around the rock edges in shields uncle has a cabin down there for flat summer days

Can always go up a couple of hp if weight of engine similar , I'm actually going to sell my 5hp honda 4stroke once it's had service and new starter coil fitted, worked fine but noticed teeth were wearing so decided to replace . Probably been over cautious.

I would stick to a 4hp motor on a small dinghy. I have a 3mtr rubber one, and can get it to plane if I sit well forward.
