Can't help you with the motor , but the predictive text thing is a scream , there's a website somewhere with real texts on it that have had words changed by the phone and it's hilarious , good luck finding a motor.

I've got an 80's 5hp air cooled Yamaha long shaft for £50. bought it as a backup on my last boat, but sold that. I bought it from a friend in yorkshire 3 years ago, it had stood in his barn for 20 odd years, we changed the gearbox oil, put some petrol in, first pull she started and revved up freely. The tiller arm had broken off, but I repaired that, then fitted a bracket to use a short pole to steer it rather than put too much strain on the repair. It has forward and reverse.

Outboard still needed someone beat me to that last bargain ,gutted only got a few weeks till my Hol got a boat but no engine

Have you tried Ebay for an old Seagull engine? Im sure you'd pick up a canny one for well under £200. We have a long shaft 5hp Seagull Silver Century Plus which we bring out as a spare and its a cracking little engine. Nice & light too for humping around.

Just a thought anyways.
