Pain of a season

c'mon lads cheer up :) this could be the weekend it all changes :) (I know, I know it's a big tide, but so what :) )
I'm none the worse for not catching so many this season, just simply being put in my place by nature, it's not a given right to always catch, you have to work at it ... and sometimes, just sometimes the cod gods smile on you and give you a bumper session (like the last two seasons in full :) ) ... but for now it's back to tactics and the search for the rod, the reel, the line, the lure, the bait, the action and of course the position, on our great sea, that's whats gonna be the decider.......... not a divine right!.

So ..... keep on pluggin away .........

Good luck out there, we all look forward to the reports ....

I know I posted this in another thread but it sums up the sentiment perfectly I think.

Just spoilt i think the last two years with great weather from Early March and lots of fish, this year is the reverse but the odd nice weather day always brings the saying out "this is what being at sea is about" just need to hear that more often :)

Should be out at least one day at the weekend maybe two, if that wind drops and keeps the drift slow or we get a good spell of slack water the days of 5,6,7+ double figure ling will be back as its that time of year again Aug/Sept

Good forecast for you lucky fellas this weekend, early start and get into them, don't know what the tides are like......better than watchin a cam or two thousands of miles away and getting tormetin text messages through the day,

buyin boat stuff on ebay i don't even need out of boredom.....think you have it hard...oh and missing the wife and kids, nearly forgot about that !!

best of luck this weekend to those who get out, get those spanners, toilet handles and kettle spouts on.......... :)

Hello Richie i was wondering how your Norway trip went. Take it it was top dollar. I am back to Norway next February/March shore fishing and am looking for a trip in the summer as i retire from my present job in a couple of months. My mate Chut is also up for it and we are fancying a trip August time at Loppa with Ian from Din Tur. Defo north in summer of 2013 Tromso areas.

Think Deano is also going with us in Feb / March. I,m taking a pair of goggles and gonna spend some time looking for all the lead we lost last time.
MICK.

It was a trip of a lifetime....well i say that booked up for further north in July 2013 so two trips of a life time...yer it was great between us we all had PB's with Chris getting the best cod of 42lb, with cod around the 20lb mark as common as mackerel fishing when you found them but you did need to find them not like a carpet as you read on some holiday forums.

Hope it goes well for you Mick
