Fished the international paints on the tyne today,just using up some yellowtails from a session last night.Did`nt go down till 3.30pm due to the size of the tides,can be a nightmare holding bottom here.Anyway had a couple of small whiting then had 3 codling in three casts biggest 3lb 2oz,1lb 9oz and 1lb 7oz,canny session with a few missed bites,cheers.

Were is the international paint worksat?

Been back down and fished for a few hours this morning,had 6 fish out with 5 going size,nowt big 1lb 3oz upto 2lb but enjoyed it all the same.As far as parking goes,i fish the Fellling side so you need to park at the elephant on the tyne pub,and walk it along the cycle path(keelmans way).down hill from there,you can fish from the grass banks,nice and peaceful,cheers.

Well done on the fish m8 , I have been looking for somewhere close to me on the tyne to take my 11 year old to fish. Is this area reasonably child safe ie railings ? or would it be easy to fall in

got railing up last time i was fishing last year,but its open railings,meaning if your kid is little he or she can fall thought gap,its about3ft high,

Thanks for that , sound safe enough and only a few minutes drive away Might take him down next weekend.
