pb off roker pier

went to hendon prom at 7.00 last night set up but had a gut instinct so packed up and headed to roker pier
started fishing about 8.00ish had my new cree 1800 which was like having too lighthouses on the end
about 12 on the pier wind was beserk
bite after bite came from guess wot the whiting population they were coming in 2 at a time time went on

THEN..........
i got a different type of bite waited a while struck i knew i connected in it came after a fight of about 15 mins it was the biggun ihad been waiting for......

yes my personel best eater crab approx 1/2 lb
but still no cod bait used lug mackeral bluey muscle
caught about 8 whiting released 4 and a monster eater
windy but well worth the effort

me and me m8 was on there last neet also,,few little whitys and crab after crab, wind picked up even worse l8r on me n mick had to dive in the bunker jus so we cud see the bites we werent gettin,, still might av a dodge down tneet, gotta get a double before the season up.

weve all gota hope for the double m8 i was fishing the bay side next to the steps to get to the lighthouse m8 were you the 2 lads on bikes or the other 2 m8 keep going up n down the steps

Great effort on fishing the pier in that wind,hopefully next time the codling will show,you deserve a few,out myself tonight might try roker as the wind has dropped a bit.
