Witnessed my brother bring one in a bit smaller than yours 2 summers back – fought all the way in and was a privilege just to watch the action.
I was bricking it collecting his Pollock from the rock ends in case I dropped it – bet you were having kittens bringing that one up lol

Ha aye m8 good fighting fish , had to get some one hand ball it up from the end .

Tell me about it Mitch ha , nearly stuffed it a few times trying to get to weigh in . Got 2nd with them two fish aswell ha . Never two sessions the same. Might have a wonder tonight ha .

Hi Liam, I may be wrong but I think your fish may be bigger than you say....Those scales you used to weigh it, I think they say 8.85 lbs not 8lb 8oz. That would make your fish 8lb 13oz m8.

8.85lbs is 8lbs 13.6 oz 2.4oz off 9lbs..... crackin' catch.

Aye it's mad that ray a never even noticed that ha . Happy days. Just need a cod that size or bigger now . Got my bucket from shop the day but can't get out till after the 29th to use it . Well happy cheers .
