PC Admiralty Charts

Where can i get hold of some pc based charts just to use for inshore fishing from my kayak from the tyne to say eyemouth.
The paper charts would be far to big to take out

if you want the admiralty raster charts, 2 options.

maptech - full uk and ireland charrts on a disk 85 quid

http://www.adventureelectronics.co.uk click on the maptech link on the left hand side to find them

or if you just want a local chart there's an RYA chart plotter pack which just does sections of coats for about 45 quid but goes was to tyne and then tyne north to berwick or somewhere so you'd need 2 packs, so the maptech is the better deal

we've got em on the Panser

if you want to see what the quality is like I dumped a chart for sunderland and one for amble for someone a while back they're at:

nee bother. Just print A4's out, stick 2 back to back and laminate them, been doing that for years!

If you download it, you'll still not be able to use it (been there done that)

the charts are encrypted, to use them you have to install from the DVD and then vaildate them via the maptech server which unlocks them all for you on your PC

Without legitimate serial numbers the vaildation/DRM won't work - I've tried (lots)
