pedestrian tunnel 11am-2.30pm

fished the tunnel (jarrow side) from 11am til 2.30pm. was going to fish behind the wall but was 3 or 4 people there when i got there. so went just passed the 2nd green bench. i blanked but my dad caught a 36cm whiting on black lug and squid. was his 1st time out in 20 years or so. he was worried about nesting his abu 9000 which hasnt seen daylight for 20years but he was sound with it. was quite busy today but i have only fished the tunnel twice during the day but was a few people out. was 3 young kids with a rod and they kept crossing over my line but didnt let it put off. felt like packin up when a 4 ounce lead weight went passed my face. i might of blanked but still enjoyed myself and was good to go fishing with me dad.

yeah i know mate, they were using herron for bait, so gave them little bit of squid. didnt bother is that much but they are lethal haha. kept asking for weights and scissors and to look at me dads fish. (which is my tea tomorrow). didnt give them a weight because they were 6 ounce grippers and there was a chance it could of snapped the line on casting.
