Penn 525 mag help please

Hey guys just got some new abec 7 bearing for my penn 525 mag. I put a tiny amount of yellow rocket fuel on them and when I popped it back together it doesn't spin for lone even with the mags fully off probably 10 seconds max. This is with no line on and just doing it by finger any suggestions as to whats going on or is it okay for it to be like that? I've had to fit 4 new magnets as well so could it be them being to powerful? I've tried taking the spool out and spinning it but it doesn't go for any longer help is appreciated cheers.

Have you tried cleaning the new bearings out? They could be full of grease.

10 secs with no line on spool,this reels gonna be fast in fact very fast,

if u have no line then u have no momentum /inertia to keep the spool ganning try loading line and try again . if it doesnt work just give it to me so i can keep it .

have you not got the spool tention nut too tight

make sure the spool is rocking very slightly,side to side and adjust the end cap off a bit, each time, I get about twenty seconds on each of my two mag extra reels but its trial and error. I have four mags in each, I cleaned the bearings in lighter fuel before putting the drops of oil on and had the bearings on kitchel towel so they could'nt be over oiled. some magnets are longer and therefore may have a stronger pull, try the shorter magnets if using the longer ones, not sure if this would effect though, or even take one or
two out altogether and see what happens. If no improvement try a new spool it may be damaged and slightly out of line

10 seconds with no line on is a very fast reel if i do this test with no line on am happy with around 4 seconds

I was just thinking exactly that and I have trouble in the dark with brakes in and mags on haha, ten seconds bloody hell.

Try filling spool with line mate

have a look on youtube, one bloke spun his reel 4 minutes, albeit with full spool, type in ' mag 525 spin speed '.
