Penn 535 nobby?

I would say absolutely they are worth it....however they were selling the same product for £69.99 last year (i got one!)

was this the mag version or the gs though?

Yes its the magged 'knobby' version mate.

I bought one on sunday off a fellow friend on here, and after using it lasr nite its a workhorse of a reel, holds a hell of a lot of 30lb or more line, and hauls those big coddies in (when a get one on... :D)

ahh torn between slosh 30 nd this penn 535 now. slosh is a 10a cheaper but that dnt matter. which is best?

My opinion would be the SLOSH,I have the penn 535 brake block reel both of these reels are strong as tanks for rock end fishing but I don't see the point of having a sticky out knob that can be damaged very easy by getting it knocked off rocks and the likes.
The idea of the knobbly mag reels was you can twiddle with the magnets during the cast, its just not needed and a extra that's pointless to these type of reels.
The brake block reels casts very well and in control without the twiddly magnets to mess about with.

It not as thou you want to cast it big distances with heavy lines.... even if you want to bang out gear a long way the simple brake block reels will cast just as far.

Andy i ment the reel jimlad got for 69.99 i was wondering if it was the mag or GS(brake block) version.

i have the GS and its a good reel, although i agree with harry that i prefere my slosh 30 and also about there being no need for mags on the rocks.
