Penn affinity 8000 fixed spool

Has anyone used/got one was thinking about getting one or swap for a slosh 20 what they like? Do they add distance would be using on clean beaches with greys triplex 16 ft cheers

had one for more than 6mth - use it most sessions. mine is filled with braid and i cant fault it. in ireland over clean/mixed ground had double dogs and rays to 7lb, over heavy ground with 80ld braid had double figure huss - no problem. distance is skill derived, so just go for it and practice - but most of all enjoy!

Got two now mate, both filled with braid. Great reels for me.

I would sell the slosh20 and use the cash to get some casting lessons before you buy a fixed spool.

Got one they are good reels you get a spare shallow braid spool with them so you can use mono or braid can't fault it I use 525 as well can't fault that either

Yeah that's what I was thinking bit braid and fixed spool to go with my 525 mag or just another 525 as spare people like the slosh 20s but I put a couple of breaks in but still prefer the 525 cheers for info all
