Penn Fathom 25

Anyone got/tried the Penn Fathom 25, Im either looking for a Diawa 30 SHV or go for the Fathom 25.

Fathom 25 to big for shore fishing mate 20 is the biggest you can go to

Just to add to the size you get 330yrs of 20lb line on the 25 if you want a big reels the fathom 20 holds about 230yds of 30lb line I was looking at them yesterday they are the biggest reel you can use from shore unless you have huge hands again the saltist is probs to big from the shore to even though it's a deep narrow spool to get you're thumb over will be very hard hope this helps

i normally use a shv40 and f/s but i fancied a fathom for cliff work, guess ill go to shop and look how the reels compare.

Fathom 25 and your Slosh 40 would be of similar size,Perfect for high cliff marks or the Slosh and Saltist 30s and 40s for that matter, loaded with plenty heavy line,0.5mm etc,very castable good distances even with small hands no problem.
