Century Eliminator E1000. Finally getting one. Had a good look and feel of one on shields pier the other nite. Feels spot on like, quality piecebof kit.

Unless you can pen cast I wouldn't even bother buying a one as this will pull your puddings out and result in a serious injury

Pendulem cast I can buddy... thats my usuall style of casting anyway, a small pendulem swing then a good strong swing overhead (NOT to the side), and away the bait goes to the cod's nest .

You need a lot of compression for these rods mate I know loads of lads who have bought them because of the extra length and stiffness etc and they have ended up selling them as they are like scaffolding poles it might be worth trying one first or getting a second hand one that has already been bed in good luck in your quest mate

Anyone using one of these reels at the moment i like my penn 525 mag extra's and didnt upgrade to a penn 525 mag2 as didnt see the point however these Fathom's look a nice reel and have a mixture of the penn torque and 525 internals using a live spindle and centrifugal breaks.

You could probably fit a knobby mag to one of these!

Would be a good idea, butb a cannot get away with these mag conversions these days...

There just too long. The mag conversions stick out of the reel like a sore thumb. The one on my Daiwa 7HT Mag (the blue one) obviously already has a mag system like this, but the knob to control the mag is just the correct length and doesnt stick into me arm and cause a bruise (my old 7HT Turbo that I got with a mag conversion consistantly did this).

Anyways clarky buddy, you know what Penn are like, it wont be long before they introduce a magged version of this reel, which will be mint!!

Aye your probably right there, there's a lad I know who makes knobby mags, if Eva you want a stubby version so it don't stick out so far let me know and al ask him to make ya one.
