penn mag extra

can anyone tell me if they come with six magnets allready fitted or do you have to fit the two spares also?.....

The Mag extra and Supermag actually has only 6 magnets - the 4 standard magnets, and 2 round the back held on by magnetic force but the super mag extra has 8, 4 are back to back round the other side if you know what I mean,they sit fluch inside the purpose built magnet carrier. hope this help's

thanx just new to multipliers using shimano triton speedmaster at moment need more control and dont want to waste my money on a cheaper reel as casting improves thanx bundsta..

I have both reels , the speedmaster is a much better reel for casting. I found the Penn to be over braked. I am down to 1 magnet now and I still get better distances with my speedmaster. If you want to add a magnet to your speedmaster I can tell you how to. You loose the ratchet but you can put it back later if you want.
