penn & pure is it all rubbish ?

Right folks there seems to be a lot of fed up people around at the moment moaning about everything pure fishing has taken over.Due to an apparent drop in standard of gear & after sales service etc. So what do folk think i have heard bad things about penn boat rods & reels & casting reels all of them the new ones since being taken over by pure fishing also the abu reels apparently the k2 red metals had a bad reputation for snapping ( i have 2 which are ok thank god ) so you would think the penn affinity twin tip would be the same but i have yet to hear of any problem with them has anyone had problems with them.If so lets hear about all the items of tackle you have had problems with since pure got hold of all the once good brands is it all now pure CRAP

would not buy penn boat rods , the handles are made of cardboard tube and after awhile the handle comes away from the rod. i have had penn reels that have been used and abused with little or no maintenance and they have still worked well . saying that i was sick of the magnets coming out off the 525 mag slidy.
