Penn Trq 25

Misunderstanding.

spin time as in takes longer to slow down. The large mass of the spool takes a bigger magnet.

Rcd the sideplate back after mag job, informed a 6mm x 4mm magnet had been installed. Rebuilt the reel and re-adjusted the magnet, spool now rotates about 6/7 times with magnet full on !!
Put some line on the reel and had a few casts with it and adjusting the magnet to suit - casts great and no probs

Done a wee bit casting myself and done a few conversions centre mags /mono mags .now I am happy to use and a find much better for fishing a reel set up with centrifugal breaks with the fibre blocks, favourite reel been the daiwa sha 30 reel fitted with one fibre block off an Abu 6500 ct.trouble free fishing casts brilliantly and no overrun at end of cast,I now don't have any reels magged up for fishing.

mags

mags

The trq s don't have any braking system Iin them John tthat'swhy they need magging u ccan'tcontrol em -too fast .Bri.

Hi BRI forgot about that but glueing a magnet on inner side plate does same job as a brake block.there's no doubt in certain conditions winding the mags off during the cast will ad extra yards but as I say in certain conditions, same as reducers I just can't be bothered to mess about with reducers especially taking them out to cast out I just place reel a comfortable distance up from bottom of butt.but everyone to there own I suppose.
