Lol Jim....if ALL your spare headtorches fail, you could always strap all the lighters to ya heed......lol

You\'d look like the Olympic torch standing on Blyth Beach but at least you\'d be warm and all the other anglers could just come up to you for a light :o

ell\'s convension ;)

christ.......stumpy!!!!!!!! :o

i thought you were deed!!!!!!!!

not fancy another nice gay spectrum one??

Stumpy,
The Zippos last for years - probably be going longer than you will.....lol

Many years ago, I shared a flat with a lad who was studying at Shields Marine & Tech College - he became like an adopted brother. He worked for the Royal Fleet Auxilliary.
He\'d been on the Sir Galahad just prior to the Falklands War and was posted to the the same ship as part of the Royal Navy \"Task Force\"
The night before he left we had a reet good p*ss-up and he gave me this to look after \'til he got back.......

He didn\'t come back.

Just edited the above post as I\'d had a few sherbets when I posted it and started getting a bit maudling.

I gather that the ‘Zippo’ was at one time standard US forces issue. I knew a lad from North Wales who would visit the sights of aircraft crashes in Snowdonia looking for suveniers. At one American military aircraft crash sight he found a brass Zippo in the mud. He took it home cleaned it up, renewed the wadding and flint and topped it up with fuel , It lit up on the first spin of the wheel. Not bad going after some 40 years in the mud!

Sad that Tony,my brother was in the Falklands during the conflict, lost a couple of good friends, one was a school friend, they both turned up at Lympston together for there training, neither knew they were joining, funny little story when he tells it............

Maudle away Tony. Many sad stories from those times, most untold. Being reminded of the sacrifices made can do us no harm at all.

Permission to post lighter pic granted to whomesoever is collecting digital images of myself and e-mailing them willy nilly around cyberspace.

Publish and be damned :D

Hahahahahaha Lmao Ian. I still have that said picture as it was one of the best pics I have seen on here mate. I only wish I had thought of it lol.

Jim.

Post it Jim, I seem to remember rolling in Fuzzy Felt before it was taken. Jeff or John have copyright though, I thought they were fishing buddies but just another couple of paparazzi on my case.

ell,

if you used zippos they wouldn\'t get blown out as they are wind proof

lot better than bic 10 for a £ jobs :P
