picking fresh muscles

hi can anyone tell me where a good place is to pic fresh muscles from in shields are as getting sick of buying frozen and frozen defrosted ones that some bait shops sell no meat to them

ya can buy fresh mussel from the supermarket

Have a look along the river tyne when the tide goes out ya might pick some up.

i normall get from supermarket eddie t just lately they been small so just want to pick them when they are small

I have millions under the pontoon in the mariner, pick a hand full each time i go out...from next doors one of course

No sorry you wont be able to get them, i ontl pick a hand full before taking the boat out..not the kind of spot you go down with a bucket and wellys to pick them from..only beach i had any from is the middens area but not in good numbers or large ones
