Been out on this boat a few times in the 90's (might have even been in the 80's!) and we always had a canny day. Seem to remember the skipper at the time sold up and moved over to the Isle of Man?

My only charter trip on this boat and discovered I don't have sea legs. Lovely deck mind for lying on wishing you were dead, before you chuck up again :o

Just been having a long overdue mooch around on NESA tonight (must be feeling nostalgic, lol) and seen this thread. Thought the name "Silverscales" and "Mick Potts" rang a bell - Just dug out the old paperwork for the very 1st NESA boat comp (which was help up at Amble back in 2003) - sure enough, there was Silverscales with a full complement fishing aboard her. As bigtel says, ther's something very sad about old boats ending their days.
