What was it like getting onto Shields or Sunderland Piers today? Anyone fish them?

You won't get on roker today mate. One of the lads just told me it's coming over the lighthouse.

Thought as much mate, I'm out tomorrow and forecast is pretty much the same. Just weighing up the pros and cons of where to go. Beach somewhere I think.

Shields will be a bit naughty and will be running along the inside at the wheel area, as for Roker....check the pics ive posted in sea state....some of the waves were the height of the lighthouse!

got roker pier on the sunderland web can this morning waves going onto the pier so it would be closed don't know about shields put if it was going over Tynemouth then possible the fist gates would be shut on shields

Had a look down the Hall beach this evening. It's unfishable.
