Pier Fishing in the summer

Anyone know what time the piers start to fill up with the maki being in now? Fancy taking the bairn out for a session this weekend on roker pier - notice high tide is around 5:30ish, so wondered if it would still be quiet if I got there around about then? Don't fancy fishing shoulder to shoulder on the piers.

getting their in darkness just as light breaks is the best time. fishing can be hectic if they are in and start to die off around 6.30am. afternoons are the worst time everywhere as they camp out for the day.

my daughter loved getting up early with my and thought of it as an adventure.

if fact shes now 22 and wants me to take her and her boyfriend early one morning.

I would steer clear on weekends mate.loads of lager drinking n drugs.they do it openly.having said that ive been tber today n same as usual.as lads mentioned earlier i would go early with the bairn n get yourself away when looney squad arive.lad got his head split wide ooen today off a hook off a set of dayligjts.was nasty n ambulance came n had to go hospital as was long and deep.fishes gob as they say.hopefully he ok n recovers quickly.it was a accident but just shows us to be more carefull when its busy

05:30 should be fine mate... That's when I tend to go down. Get a good couple of hours before the majority of 'anglers' turn up for the day. Best of luck

Aye, that's what I was thinking - catch a few fish and still get home in time for bacon sarnies for breakfast :D

With the current forecast for saturday morning being possible thunder storms again I guess I might give it a miss - don't fancy waving a 13 foot wet carbon rod in the air while the lightening is around - don't might just be me :D

You want to watch this while holding a highly conductive material?????? You playing Russian roulette mate lol
