Piggie porkies??

I think you're all being very unfair! Some people just freeze in front of the camera.... My favourite bit is when he holds it up and wiggles it about. Good acting from the lads involved in fairness:D:o

Found this on you tube. Tony Kirrage catches a cod at the end when it looks like everyone is going to blank. Surely they wouldn't nip down the fishmongers and buy a cod for the cameras!? I can't believe that!.......
.... not the most lively looking fish I've ever seen though.... I've been lucky enough to catch a few of these down the years and they don't usually look or act like that when you first land them.......
:confused::D
Wot you reckon, lads.? I hate to cast aspersions, like.......

Its amazing what some lengths idiots(Saying that loosely) will go too.
Few cheaters around the Sunderland Seaham coast. I was once cheated out of the Seaham open. Cliffs were banned but the sea was huge and unfishable. rang and asked if the cliffs were still out of bounds, Answer was a big fat yes. Guess where the winning fish came from... Never fish Seaham open again. I've heard the guy who won it aint the most honest angler but thats a different story :-)

The Cliffs have always been allowed mate, it's only certain area of Cliffs that are deemed Dangerous that are Banned..

what a cheat thats as dead as you can get if you took that to the scales you would get a size nine up ya backside ..jamcod

Thought I'd get a neutral take on it and didn't tell our lass what the issue was - she says to me 'whys the fish dead?'
No doubt now!

That's really something though isn't it, I wonder how long and how common this practise is amongst our more...elite anglers

welllads heres my take,,, I think the fish is alive its just tired after the hard fight, as for the discolouration its a lesser spotted washed out variety of cod, not very common ooop norf I may add , theyre very common downt sarf. theyre not the same variety as cod up norf , these ones like to drink shandy and play dead on the way in ...
as for calling fenebache pinocciho.... well mr prom keeper that's liablous slander and all lies

Never heard that one before,why would you ring to ask if the cliffs were out of bounds,when you obviously had bought your ticket prior and read rules/boundaries.the only cliff marks I've ever seen in ticket info are cliffs behind the featherbed rocks and hawthorn point as for the winner well that could be a different story.just to add if the sea was unfishable would have thought the comp would have been cancelled due to the 100 peir pegs lost,juniors/disabled restricted fishing marks also the safety aspect.

Any fresh caught cod 's fins would be erect, that fish was lifeless. Blue Peter comes to mind, .?.....and he's a one I did earlier:rolleyes:

aye when it comes to fishing for glory thats when the porkies come out, there was a local angler lived in sunderland, got to do a photo shoot on hendon prom ,the other lad who was supposed to fish with him could not make it, sunday morn was the day of the photo shoot, i fished saturday evening on hendon , and had a drive to the hall see if there was out doing, pinnochio was down with a nice 6 pounder in a bag full of water and still allive, strange i thought,wonder why he was keeping it alive, got home phone goes its pinnochios mate tells him what i saw, then i was told the fish were getting caught in different areas by pinnochio , then took down hendon prom 5am conning people he had caught the fish there,i had a drive down sunday morning and pinochio was fishing with a crowd of other anglers, he shouts up to me , i hammered the fish this morning down here, i shout what size was the best fish pinochio shouts 6 pound , i replied, the same size you had last night on seaham ,the other anglers,sussed what he had done ,and got the lads down under false pretences saying it was lifting with fish, i heard one shout to him you caught them fish else where didnt you, and not very politely chased him,so when it comes to fishing for glory pinochio was caught out, dont believe it unless you see it with your own eyes

yep. I remember the last time you told me that story tony;)
