fished monday 26/11/12 from 9till 3 in all that rain with my mate,I had a whiting about 1llb then nothing but crabs till 2pm got a good knock and then landed a codling about 2lbs... using rag tipped with squid....my mate had 2 small flatties.... plenty of crab about.... a guy fishing other side of pier[into harbour using lug tipped with mackeral had a few whiting].... we both have never been so wet and cold for many a year,gloves,hat and waterproofs and thermals kept us dry some of the time, but eventualy the cold and rain got to us and we packed in after we were unable to feel our fingers and putting a worm on nearly proved impossible ..... on top of that we had a nightmare journey home... it took 1 hour 30 minutes to get home because of the floods....but we will be back on thursday to continue the quest!!!!!!! seemed to be a few people fishing middleton pier,I wonder how they did ,any reports?
