Planky Mill?

Anyone fished the river allen down at planky mill? My family is pretty good friends with walter the guy who lives on the land so gonna go camping and do a spot of fishing on the river and was wondering if it fishes well

It used to be great fishing down towards the bottom end, mind you though that was a few years ago now.

Always was a good throw in the earlier part of the season before the picnics started. If memory serves, the usual snipe and purple, partridge and orange, greenwells, etc seemed to do better than more modern flies, but I doubt you will fail if you use a grhe
