I caught 23 whiting and one flattie for just over 6 meters (fishing one rod only was well busy), but I was dissapointed as I was fishing a work comp and came 4th winner had 33 for 10 meters :exclam: 22 fishing and over 300 fish caught in 5 hour comp and some nice whiting loving the macky biggest was 43 not mine though!!!!!!!!!!!! well done

They were caught at Waker Riverside Park in a match between The North East and Yorkshire Civil Service with the North East team winning on their home patch with over 50 metres againt Yorkshires 33 metres. We fished 2 and a half hours over either side of high water and it was non stop action from the off. My first cast resulted in a triple shot of whitings, 36, 34 & 28 centimetres and my last a double shot. I ended up with 26 whiting & 1 flonder for 7.19 metres and finished 3rd.
Overall the 22 anglers caught 301 whiting, 15 flounder, 1 cod & a shad.

Alright dave I know you finished higher than me was a fab day for such a good comp and the fish to turn up as well was double bounus!!! I think fresh Macky was the top bait.
