that time of the year , where i get my wet suit on and get my sinkers back from my marks at the sluice. first went in at the sumps, i have never seen so many small codling about 10 inches long. seen about 15 wrasses good quality, plenty of crab as well.
i then went to middle skeer charleys and hall skeer the same plenty of small codling some good size coalie, but i did not see any fish over 2lb, last year there was 3 or 4 big cod in the kelp off charleys,
but got 3 good eating crab and a few sinkers.

Good to know there are plenty of fish around there, I was thinking of doing the same not for the leads but just to have a look at the ground that I fish over. What was the vis like? You drop in over high water?

vis was very good , i go in at one hour before low water, its good to see where u fish , i have changed wehere i fished loads of times m8

I love the idea of collecting your lost leads, great stuff.

With the length of Lynn's casts, a decent pair of wellie boots would suffice! :)
