Plugging rod

I'm looking at lure fishing for bass this summer but not sure which rod to get.
What length or max casting weight.
I have around £50 pound to spend on the rod so any info would be appreciated ill be fishing Whitby to Flambourgh areas

i just use a light shakespeare carp rod, its about 12ft and is ideal. i use it for salmon, bass, flatties etc.

cheapish and a cracking rod ;D
