Thing like this don't come about very often. My partner was at work, I was off, I had the car and I had some frozen peeler at hand. A once in a blue moon occurrence.
So I decided to do a spot of fishing. I thought I would try up Seaham way. Just because I could but the fishing Gods were against that Idea. With all the diversions at the Tyne tunnel and a pile up on the A19 at Testos roundabout I decided to head to the Police launch in Hebburn. It only took me half an hour of driving to get there. Bearing in mind I only live a 15 minute walk away.
After that my heart wasn't really in it. I did catch a little one but that was about it. Only stopped an hour.
Also found a lost reel. Wondering if anyone knew the owner. I don't think the stainless steel ball bearings helped much.
