We had our compos on Tuesday 22nd Oct at Blyth/Newbiggen 4pm- 8pm.And then 10am until 3pm the following day at Warkworth.
Lots of competitors from all over the country. Not exactly sure of numbers.
Both days proved to be hard work but Blyth was the better day fishing into darkness. I had two Flounders and on the last cast got myself a small Codling of 39cm which gave me some canny points.
Warkworth beach looked spot on with a canny surf but proved to be really hard work with lots of top class anglers blanking. My saving grace was a 20 cm Flounder. Top fish on this day was a size Turbot which scored double points.
Lads at Northumbria who organised thing did cracking job.
Sorry I do not have more accurate info re numbers and amount of fish caught but it was hard work for everyone. My team Durham B came fourth so pleased with that.

Tight lines Mick.

Thanks Mick, the hard work paid off. Pity about the fishing but my new bass rod for 3rd will be lovely :D.

Thanks to all the lads for coming so far, Northern Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Kent and Devon & Cornwall at the extremes. Good effort as always.

Big thanks to John Bohill, ID Fishing at Newcastle for his effort supplying bait and 20 years of support and Sonik Sport, Blyth for the backing.

To all the lads, many on here, who have been involved: Great effort, hope you are pleased we pulled it off

Spent a bit of time today with my family, can I thank them publicly for putting up with my time away; and their efforts bagging up the lunches, especially Dan who picked out my favourites.:p I've been told today "Nationals is banned in this house!"

Hope those that took part enjoyed

Will put up a full result with photos soon.

Cheers, Peter
