I decided to pop over to York again and go back to Pool Bridge Farm for a weekend of fishing with a few mates. £8 fishing for 2 rods (no overnight exept the Q) and £7 per person per night for camping.
Firstly weather was fantastic and the fishing was even better. During the 2 days fishing the 3 of us caught over 30 fish all mostly carp from 5lb - 9.5lb with some nice golden tench 3lb+ and Breem around 2-3lb.
The bait of the weekend was Luncheon Meat / Big Hot Dogs and Sweetcorn.
My best weekend was a nice 8lb common.
Chris caught the biggest at 9.5lb common and the luck bugger had a run of 7 fish within 1 hour all over 5lb!
This was Jason's first fishing trip in 18 years but even he managed to catch some nice carp and a really nice mirror.
his biggest was 7lb.
They also have a specimin lake called the Q which is member only. Membership for this is only £40 so I am going to join and give it a go, after all its only about 2 hours drive.
