Porbeagle Attack Off Islay

aye davey more journalistic sensationalism here, they ommited to say the fasherman attacked the fash in the first place, much rather paint an illusion of someone on a shore being attacked by a shark:exclam:,in the hope they can sell the story for a few bob more.

thats why our local lads charlton and harris stand head and shoulders above most journalists(no crap out of them:exclam:

theres plenty of boat and commercial fashermen will have had a big ling or conger have a nip at their foot in an unwary moment, but that wont have made the news

does anyone know what happened to the shark:question:

i read the story on the daily mail web site this afternoon, it bit his steel toe cap rigger boot..

very nasty violent attack...there's a picture of the scuffed boot too..

shark's eh....bad bad fish :D

apparently the story goes....

shark eating too many seals.......

fisherman targets bad shark.....

bad shark takes offence to been caught ....

bad shark bites boot.....

but...................

dont seals eat a lot of fish ?

sharks could eat all the seals

which means more fish

fisherman happy ??

The report annoyed me a bit as well , anyone who has been on a boat with a boated shark should know to keep the bits they want left intact away from the sharks teeth
I don't know why it annoyed me , the accusation on wsf is envy , I don't think so, I think it's simply the fact hat I can envisage being on that boat with the shark and I know full well who is at the mercy of who , that shark was simply fighting for its life on the deck of a boat , anything that came near its mouth was going to get grabbed , not out of anger but sheer instinct .
I bet the guy in question wouldnt have got his toes anywhere near those teeth if he'd been wearing trainers ;)

That was a close shave, if he hadn't been wearing steel toe caps his brains might have been spilt all over the deck :)
