with the fishing naff around here at present decided to have a trip over port carlisle, wasnt too confident since i didnt have fresh crab (had rag, macky, runnydown and prawn.)
a small tide today so there was no tidal bore. as the water started to flood (normally the best time) a few flounders started coming in but not in the numbers i am used to there, i neednt have worried though, as the tide peaked and started to ebb the flounders went crazy, top bait was prawn & macky cocktail, most casts had double shots very rarely did i wind in with no fish on. dont know how many i caught but it was a huge number, had some great sessions there last year, but this was something else, just fish after fish for three hours.
heres a few pics

Forgot to mention in my original post that unusually for here there was nothing close in, all fish taken were caught well out, normally you get them very close in only a few yards out, don't know why but no bites at all close in !

Nice report Micky, it must of been some amount of flounders if its your best session ever, seen some of you other reports with mass amounts of flounder.

Nice report their, ive a carravan over the other side at annan, any chance of a postcode or directions to this shot? In their next week and fancy some flatty bashing myself :D
