hi lads i had my first ever flounder match over carlisle on sunday & really enjoyed it so going back in 2 weeks 4 another go.
it was a bit slow 4 every1 apart from a 2 lads that have fish the mark many times & knew what 2 expect, they had fish from the off. the rest of us were fishless in the first 2- 2 1/2 hours so i desided 2 move 2 a mark i had my eye on from the start & it payed off it was fish from the off i managed 8 flounder 1 after the other & the longest flounder of the match 45cm-
2lb-6oz so was chuffed at that.

it was won with 23 flounders - 680+cm.

yes its measure & release 4 us 2 m8, there was 4 flounders caught on & over the 40cm mark.

Nice one Bill - some good bin-lids to be had there this time of year. I'm guessing Marty will have had a few lol.....A couple of mates are heading over tomorrow so they'll probably be quite encouraged that there are some nice ones around.

Gary :)

Bill,
Should have went with your haunch from the start, you would have ended with a bucket full.
