im after some advice.

we are having one of our club matches at port carlisle as an away day. theres probably only going to be around 6 - 10 of us fishing measure and release.

the problem is none of us have ever fished there. were going later next month on an 8m tide [i think]

we have no idea about getting there or finding the marks when we arrive.

looking on google maps, its quite a big area with lots of mud flats so we dont want to end up in an area wont be able to fish or just chuck into any patch of water we come accross.

can anyone help or put us on an area that should at least give us a chance of getting a result?

Bill

Yeah Bill, JV had a session over there not long ago, But i think Micky Quail would be more knowledgeable on the area for yous

just got back from port carlisle, fished 2 hours up 2 hours down at the bend in the road (the second map NICKY has linked to) still a lot of fresh water in but managed 9 decent flounders, a cracking day weather wise and a few fish too. if you want any info just PM me. when it fishes well its unbelievable sport. going to try a few other marks this year that i've never tried around port carlisle, so many marks to choose from.

yeh we fished that second spot last week for about an hour we had 5 flounders out could prob of had more but we waited for tide tocome right up to bank before starting to fish then heavens opened with rain and hail so packed up from home
as we were fishing noticed a flounder swim past near top of water ne more 6or7ft out water was only bout 3ft deep there just shows how close they come in
we drove past firsr mark nicky shows on map it was packed with anglers
it was our first trip over def be back tho
cheers pop65

ps take every thing you need we went on sun and everyrhing is closed ie ne shops open
