I've had my bass off the rocks there its feels sandy. You dont lose any gear. Had them spinning and on the bottom. Spin with frozen sandeel and I used crab for on the bottom. I've had them up to nearly 4lb. Great fight on spin gear.

I've always fished on the rocks just down from the little car park it's more or less in front of lighthouse. The rocks are spot on. I've never lost any gear. Plus there's some nice little bays to fish into. I've fished it on the flood and on the ebb and had fish. But found the flood a little better. There's some canny little spots to fish from. In front of lighthouse you can be a little height from water but a little right it's a little bit lower. Word of warning any rain stay away rocks they are like ice.
Cheers lee.
