Dunno if anybody has already posted this but......6 tip lights for £1 in the Poundshop at Wallsend

They have a lot of freshwater gear too

bought a chinese lantern aswell for the bairn (honest), but for a pound i had to :D

instead of them rave bangle things ya better off with a decent tip light for about a fiver ,then you can get a replacement pack of batteries from poundshop

not them git long ones are they look terrible

Nah they are the small ones around 1" long. They are called "Fishing Glow Sticks". Well worth a quid

I set the lantern on it's way willywetegg, had a bit of a shock at 1st as it lifted off the ground & landed on the neighbours plastic roofing. It was laying on its side with the block burning away but luckily it lifted up & away it went. The things are about 3-4' high & they narf fly (when they get going). It kept the bairn entertained for a good 30 secs.

Theres a few places on the net you can get them glow sticks cheap, i got 100 for £5. Biglugs has it spot on though- the proper lights for about a fiver are much brighter and you can just replace the batteries when it gets dim.

I use 1 of the fiver ones but got these for backup when its windy when im fishing in the river as they are slim & the wind wont catch them much & also for if the batteries die while fishing

I bought a pack of 5 lighters from the pund shop, ive dismantled one of them and its now just ready to be taped on to the rod the next time im out, there quite bright them blue LED's but see how long it lasts.
